The move set

Why it rules

Wrestling Empire doesn't care about being realistic. It cares about stories, and it hands you the tools to create absolute chaos.

01 / CAREER

Career with consequences

Start as an unknown and claw your way up. Pay, morale and backstage relationships all matter, and a bad attitude in the locker room can start a brawl before you reach the ring.

02 / PHYSICS

Physics-fuelled mayhem

Bodies ragdoll, ropes snap back and almost anything you can pick up becomes a weapon. Matches spill to the floor, into the crowd and backstage.

03 / PROMOTIONS

A whole wrestling world

Rival promotions, title belts and a roster with opinions of its own. As your reputation grows, so does your influence over how the stories play out.

04 / EDITOR

Editor without limits

Build wrestlers from scratch: looks, attire, stats, movesets and alignment. Restock the entire roster with your own fantasy federation.

05 / RULES

Match rules your way

Change the number of competitors, falls, count-outs, disqualifications, cages and more. Then ring the bell and watch it all go sideways.

06 / LINEAGE

Pure MDickie DNA

The spiritual successor to Wrestling Revolution 3D, made by one-man studio Mat Dickie and full of the off-kilter humour his fans love.

Our scorecard

Fan ratings

Totally biased, totally unofficial. Rated out of 10 by people who have lost far too many hours to backstage fights.

Rookie tips

Before your first bell

Five lessons every new Empire star learns the hard way.

  1. Mind the locker roomThe people you anger backstage can come back to haunt you in the ring, or in the parking lot.
  2. Wear them down firstBig moves and pins work far better on a tired, hurt opponent. Rushing the cover rarely ends well.
  3. Look under the ringWeapons are your best friend when the referee isn't looking. Sometimes even when he is.
  4. Read the contractMoney is nice, but how often you're booked and how visible you are keep your career moving.
  5. Edit before you playA custom roster turns career mode into your own personal wrestling soap opera.
